Saturday night is done.

The students are gone.

The band had loaded their equipment out.

The lights are off.

But the living God is on the move because right now 1,000 students and their leaders are all in host homes around the city of Athens talking about what it means to be WEIRD for Jesus.

This is our favorite time of the weekend as we just envision what all God is doing right now.

Brad just finished up and is having small group leaders spread out around the room. He asked the students to go to one of their leaders if they have anything to confess or talk about what God is doing in them.

Such an awesome response time. Cannot wait to respond next in worship!

We started off tonight’s session with a fun karaoke bit that got all the students singing together then went to an awesome, hilarious pick-up line dating game.

Sparrow's Nest & Bigger Vision

This afternoon a thousand students and their leaders will be participating in a scavenger hunt.

But not just any scavenger hunt.

While we will have a winner based on points, the students will be collecting items for Sparrow’s Nest and Bigger Vision ministries. These ministries provide items to the homeless people in Athens and their storage closets are currently close to depletion.

Last year students from The Mix not only filled the storage units at Bigger Vision, but the items actually overflowed their space. This year we hope to provide enough items for the homeless in Athens to fill TWO ministry needs.

Items include: toiletries, blankets, lightly worn clothing, canned goods, etc.
